Effective immediately, submission of a SW CACTI Intake Form is required prior to accessing the Research Data Request Portal. Requests submitted without a corresponding Intake Form may be delayed or returned for completion of the intake process

PLEASE BOOKMARK THE SW CACTI INTAKE FORM AS THE NEW STARTING POINT FOR ALL NEW DATA REQUESTS AND HEALTH INFORMATICS SERVICES.
Welcome to the research data request portal, hosted by the UNM HSC Clinical & Translational Science Center’s Health Informatics Core (aka SW CACTI).
For NON-research request including business, operational, or QI, submit here: UNMH Clinical Data Request portal.
To determine whether your project counts as Research or as Quality Improvement, please use the Research vs. QI Decision Tool.
We offer data support and services for IRB-approved research requests including:
  • Research Preparation (aggregated feasibility counts, case finding, and cohort discovery - no IRB needed)
  • Research Data Extracts (identified or de-identified data)
  • Research Access to PowerChart (inquiry-only EMR permissions for non-clinician researchers - approved IRB required with a valid expiration date)
  • Radiology Images (for research)
  • Pooled Nation-Wide Clinical Databases (HealthFacts, Cerner RWD, Truven MarketScan, TriNetX)
Of note, publications using any of the above services are required to cite the current grant with the following language: “This project is supported by an award from the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences, National Institutes of Health under grant number UM1TR005466.”
